We previously heard that there would be three new iPhone X handsets this year, one 6.1 inch LCD iPhone X and two OLED iPhones. The two OLED iPhones are said to come with a 5.8 inch display and a 6.5 inch display.
According to a recent report, Apple may launch two versions of the 6.1 inch LCD iPhone X, one will come with a single SIM card slot and the other will come with DSDS (Dual SIM dual standby), which is basically two physical SIM card slots.
The news comes in a report from Ming Chi Kuo from KGI Securities who has a great track record with information about Apple’s upcoming devices.
We had previously heard that the LCD iPhone X would retail for around $700, according to Ming Chi Kuo the single sim model could possibly start as low as $550 or $650. This would be a good move for Apple as this years iPhone X is considerably more expensive and starts at $999.
The two OLED models of the iPhone X are expected to be more expensive, the 5.8 inch model could possibly start at $899 and the 6.5 inch model may start at $999, or they could be even more expensive than that.
The design of the iPhone X is not expected to change, the handset will come with a notch at the top and all three models will come with Apple’s Face ID. We are expecting the new handsets to launch in either September or October.
